Shakespeare with Benefits is working with New York Cares and is committed to helping rebuild New York City in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. We are asking that you consider a donation to help support the on the ground efforts of thousands of volunteers working in the neighborhoods hardest hit by the storm.
New York Cares has been working around the clock to assess needs as they develop and deploy volunteers as quickly as possible. The needs generated by this storm are enormous and will continue to grow in the weeks and months ahead. Two days after the Hurricane, a team from New York Cares combed through a massive apartment complex knocking on 30,000 doors to check on senior citizens and assess their post-hurricane needs. This is just one example of the countless requests that are coming our way at lightning speed. A contribution of any size will make a world of difference.
For New York Cares to deploy volunteers and continue up to the minute needs assessments, the organization needs our support. Your donation will be put to immediate use, and will support efforts in the days, weeks and months ahead.
